Custom kitchen cabinetry that added lots of functional storage but did not feel overwhelming in this smaller kitchen/dining combo. Tying into the crown moulding & baseboard help achieve a seamless & intentional aesthetic. Constructed of 3/4 birch plywood, finished in hard maple trim, and sprayed with Benjamin Moore's Cabinet Coat.

Next to the pantry is a counter-height cabinet that bridges the gap between the 96" pantry & 20" bench. Adjustable shelf behind the doors, deep drawer up top, and quartersawn white oak counter surface. Floating shelves also in white oak.
This 20" tall bench will seat 3 adults comfortably, with room for more at holiday gatherings. Quartersawn white oak finished in Rubio Monocoat. Staying in touch with the function of this bench led us to inset drawers & hidden hand pulls so no legs are harmed when sitting.

This cookie-slab of spalted maple started as a rough 4" thick piece of wood & bark. It was carefully milled down to a level surface, bark & worm marks were removed, edges were smoothed, & black epoxy was used to fill larger voids. All splits were reinforced with bowtie-style inlays. Added custom steel legs to this stunning showpiece.

This client purchased a fish-tank stand to match other furniture, but did not have confidence in the construction to reliably support a heavy tank. We built a simple reinforcement frame of 2x4s to be hidden inside the external shell of the original piece.

Minimalist feature wall in this primary bedroom constructed of 1x2 lumber. We left this one to painter, as the whole house was being painted, but otherwise we would have finished with paint.

This client has a stone box that houses their gas fireplace insert, and wanted to bring more warmth. This top piece was made with solid walnut boards glued together and framed in solid walnut edging.

This client lives right on the lake & needed a heavy gate door in a masonry door frame. We reversed the hinges & swing of the door so it wouldn't be subject to lake gusts, and added a bit of design on interior side.

This client purchased a new condo and wanted to add visual interest to their large & tall primary bedrooom. Re-framed the doors & closets, and added board & batten to all walls.
Custom cedar planters for a front porch. Left room for a drop-in plant insert, so there is very little water contact with the wood.
1890 Chicago bungalow needed some attention to the woodwork. Replaced the window sills & color matched the white oak to the rest of the trim. Added this amazing wallpaper and custom picture rail to top it off.

This client wanted a tiny office in the unused space below a stair case. We added wallpaper to the ceiling, beadboard & trim to the walls, custom floating shelves, and a custom walnut desk surface. Had a hard time seeing this one until it was done, but it came both fashionable & functional!
